Duty Service Manager Job in Kings Heath

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Join our team as a Duty Service Manager and play a pivotal role in overseeing the smooth running of our service department.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Support:

  • Oversee daily operations within the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service.
  • Support, guide, and motivate Service Advisors and Technicians to achieve departmental goals.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for customer queries, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Ensure customers receive a premium experience at every touchpoint.
  • Manage service bookings and communicate effectively with customers regarding progress, repairs, and additional work required.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and implement improvements where necessary.

Operational & Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate service records, paperwork, and departmental reports.
  • Assist with invoicing, estimates, and financial documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and industry regulations.

Learning & Development:

  • Lead by example, supporting the training and development of Service Advisors and apprentices.
  • Stay up to date with BYD products, services, and industry trends.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in a Service Advisor or Service Manager role (automotive background essential).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a drive to exceed expectations.
  • Valid UK driver’s licence.
