A Message from Our Managing Director, Jason Pickerill

We’ve created the short video below to explain some significant changes happening at All Electric Garages Group. We know this kind of news is best heard directly, so please take a moment to hear it from our Managing Director, Jason Pickerill.

What's Changing?

As of July 1st, we will no longer be selling NEW Hyundai vehicles or be authorised to carry out Hyundai warranty work and prepaid Hyundai service plans at our Hyundai Stourbridge dealership.

This decision was not made by us. Hyundai Motor Company is restructuring its network with a "fewer, bigger, better" strategy, selecting just one partner to represent them in the Birmingham area. Unfortunately, due to the size of our business, we were not selected by the company, despite our hard work and greatest efforts. We were also informed that Stourbridge is no longer recognised as a designated market area, despite opening this location just over two and a half years ago under their instruction. We requested to retain authorised Hyundai Aftersales support until May 2026, but this was declined - something we know will disappoint many of our loyal customers.

For over 32 years, it has been our privilege to represent the Hyundai brand and, more importantly, to serve you, our loyal customers, with honesty, commitment, and care. We understand this news may come as a surprise and perhaps a disappointment, and we share those feelings with you. The Hyundai franchise has been an important part of our journey, and we are deeply proud of the trust and relationships we've built with so many of you through this brand.


What This Means for You

If you're a Hyundai owner and a customer of ours at Hyundai Stourbridge, here’s what you need to know:

  • We will continue to service and maintain your Hyundai vehicle (outside of Hyundai warranty or prepaid servicing).
  • We can service Hyundai vehicles still under warranty – just not complete warranty claims.
  • We can’t process Hyundai warranty work or prepaid servicing at Hyundai Stourbridge - for the moment, we are redirecting this work to our Hyundai Kidderminster location.
  • If you have a small issue that's within warranty but minor, we may be able to assist without charge as a goodwill gesture.
  • Our pricing will be more competitive than main dealer groups, helping you keep your motoring costs down.

Our technicians are experienced with Hyundai vehicles, and we’ll continue offering honest advice and expert care for as long as you need us.


Looking Ahead: A New Chapter with BYD

While we’re sad to close our Hyundai chapter, we're excited to announce a new beginning: All Electric Garages Group will be taking on BYD, one of the world's most innovative and fast-growing automotive brands, leading the charge in electric and Hybrid vehicle technology and sustainable mobility. We believe BYD represents an exciting future, and we are thrilled to bring this dynamic lineup to our community. BYD Stourbridge launches July 1st

FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: I have a Hyundai under warranty. Can you still service it?

A: Yes. We can perform regular servicing on Hyundai vehicles still under warranty — just not warranty repair work, this can be carried out at out other location Hyundai Kidderminster.


Q: I have prepaid Hyundai servicing – can I still use it with you?

A: No Hyundai Stourbridge cannot perform prepaid Hyundai Servicing, however out other location, Hyundai Kidderminster, can process prepaid servicing plans from July 1st onward.


Q: Will your technicians still have access to Hyundai parts and know-how?

A: Yes. We can still source genuine Hyundai parts and our technicians remain fully trained on Hyundai models. It's important to note we will still be selling used Hyundai vehicles.


Q: What if my warranty issue is something small?

A: For minor issues like quick adjustments, we may be able to help at no cost — our way of saying thank you for your loyalty.


Q: Why is this happening?

A: Hyundai UK has changed their dealership structure to consolidate partners and create fewer, larger franchise groups. This was not our decision.


Q: What is BYD?

A: BYD (Build Your Dreams) is a global leader in electric and hybrid vehicles, known for innovation, affordability, and reliability.


Q: When can I see the BYD range?

A: BYD Stourbridge opens on July 1st, and BYD Kidderminster on August 1st. You’re very welcome to visit and take a test drive!


Q: Will servicing costs increase now that you’re no longer a Hyundai dealer?

A: Not at all. In fact, we’ll be more competitively priced than many main dealer groups, helping you manage your motoring budget.
