Do you owned a car or van of any make for more than 90 days, which was registered before 31st December 2010, you could trade it in and receive a Scrappage discount of between £1,600 and £6,400 (inc VAT) off a new petrol or diesel Citroën car, and between £3,000 and £7,000 (plus VAT) off a new Citroën van.


You vehicle needs to meet the following criteria:

  • Any petrol or diesel powered car or van registered prior to 31st December 2010
  • Vehicle owned by the present keeper for a minimum of 90 days, and clear of finance
  • The vehicle must be Scrapped via our appointed supplier CarTakeBack
  • Valid on orders taken between today and 31st December 2017
  • Retail customers only (for car scrappage)

What happends to my old car?

All vehicles part exchanged as part of the Citroën Scrappage Scheme will be recycled by CarTakeBack, our approved scrap car recycling partner.

All vehicles recycled with CarTakeBack under the Citroën Scrappage Scheme are treated in an environmentally friendly manner, with all hazardous materials such as oils, batteries and tyres being responsibly disposed of, with CarTakeBack ensuring that 95% of every car is recycled.

The Citroën Scrappage Scheme discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, however all other offers remain available. So if an alternative campaign offer (e.g. Always on Pack, Elect 3, SimplyDrive, LCV Outright Purchase, etc). Registrations under the Citroën & DS Scrappage Scheme need to be registered before 31st December 2017, and will count and pay towards the Retail Reward Programme.

Citroën SCRAPPAGE SCHEME: - Car scrappage discounts shown are for eligible Citroën & DS Scrappage Scheme Retail customers only, are inclusive of VAT, and reflect customer savings against the manufacturer’s recommended OTR price - On The Road prices include VAT where applicable, delivery, vehicle first registration fee, number plates and 12 months’ road fund licence - Car scrappage discounts must be passed on in full to the customer and shown as a discount on the customer invoice before the application of VAT - Van savings shown are for eligible Citroën Scrappage Scheme customers only, and are exclusive of VAT - ESSOR Payment Codes are 701CSCRAP (Citroën car) / 701DSSCRAP (DS car) / 701CVSCRAP (Citroën van) - These savings are only available to eligible customers who scrap (via CarTakeBack) their qualifying vehicle first registered in the UK before 31st December 2010 - The V5C of the part exchange address needs to match the new vehicle invoice, must have been in the current owners’ possession for a minimum of 90 days (at point of registration of the new vehicle), and clear of finance - The Citroën & DS Scrappage Scheme discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Other offers for eligible customers are available - Registration codes RT555 (cars) or BS555 (vans) must be used for all registrations under the Citroën & DS Scrappage Scheme - Offer applicable to order declared (DEC1) between 8th September & 31st December, and registered by 31st December 2017 - Registrations will count and pay RRP at the applicable level, they will count only (not pay) for the Volume Reward and DS Reward Schemes - All vehicles part exchanged for the Citroën & DS Scrappage Scheme must be scrapped by CarTakeBack - Dealers / Customers will not receive any payment from CarTakeBack for the scrapped vehicle however, the full service offered will be free of charge - The DVLA Certificate of Destruction (COD) must be retained for every car scrapped through the scheme for audit purposes - Payment of scrappage discount will be made upon registration. Dealers must ensure they submit a supporting claim form to accompanied by the DVLA Certificate of Destruction within 21days of registration. Payments will be reconciled with claims, and any payments made but not validated within 28 days will be clawed back
